Hubs

Here are some details about our hubs.

When you join us, you will have the option to chose one of those hubs as your home base.

Once you chose a hub, you will have the opportunity to fly out and back in to your hub, so if you would like to fly a specific area, then maybe this is how you should chose your hub base.

If in time you decide you would like to transfer to another hub we operate, this can be done easy as well, just contact the Operations and Human Resources Departments for your transfer request.

Maybe we should mention what we consider as being a "HUB"

Since Thunder Eagles operates manly as a Alliance of multiple virtual airlines, it's normal for us to have multiple hubs.

We consider a hub, a main airport that we use as a transfer point for passengers and cargo as well.

In order for the travelers and cargo to get to the intended destination when there are no direct flights in place, then a transfer point to a main airport is the industry standard and that is what we consider a "HUB"

Some airlines use one hub only, usually located in the same city where they have their headquarter offices and some airlines use multiple hubs as need it.

We maintain a large infrastructure in our hubs, starting with administrative offices, training facilities, hangars for aircraft maintenance and repairs, large tanks for bulk fuel purchases and to maintain a strategic reserve of fuel, cargo handling and warehousing facilities and more.

In our hubs we also deploy and manage workforce to cover in flight crew, ground crew and plane pushers, cargo and baggage handling crew, customer service check-in crew, aircraft maintenance engineers, technicians and safety inspectors, administrative staff, trainers, flight instructors and much more.

For daily operations at a smaller scale, we also use what we call "Focus Cities" but for more details on Focus Cities, please check the dedicated page following the specific link on the Operations menu.

Main HUB

Of course, our main HUB is the KSLC - Salt Lake City International Airport, since our headquarter is located here and most of the routes we operate originate and end here.
